Commissioning Technician Lead / Foreman needed for long term opportunity with Growth Data Center experience preferred, but related to install and service of Building Automation , heating and Cooling. Manage site work, supervising 7-8 Technicians. Major multi-national building controls company with massive contracts in Data Centers Nationwide. May require travel to Canada for training. Passport, or visa access required. Job Description Commissioning Foreman Job Duties u2022 Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor. systems, and production machines. Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and comply with NEC standards on wiring and installations. u2022 Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems; and using precision measuring tools. u2022 Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. u2022 Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment. u2022 Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. u2022 Optimizes maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. u2022 Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling corrections of abnormalities. Management of Communication plan protocols and reporting procedures including daily and weekly communication, emails, meetings, progress and issue logs u2022 Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Adherence to commissioning plan, management of schedule of commissioning activities integrated with project schedule Pre-functional checklist Verify proper installation of equipment and components Confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards Equipment startup checklists & verify proper startup procedures are followed Documentation of initial operating parameters Identification of any startup issues Issue log management & Root Cause analysis Corrective action recommendations & review of proposed corrective actions from contractors Verification of implemented solutions Final system verification & documentation Skills Mechanical, Hand tool, Electrical, field service, Power tool, Build, Blueprint, HVAC system, refrigeration equipment, liquid cooling, EPA universal, temperature controls Top Skills Details Mechanical,Hand tool,Electrical,field service Additional Skills & Qualifications MUST HAVE: Ability to work varied hours as needed Heavily mechanically inclined Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge (how to check voltage with a meter) or familiarity working in environments requiring this Ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds, do heavy labor & and work in non-climate controlled environments at times Ownership attitude/high initiative Commissioning Foreman Requirements and Qualifications u2022 Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field u2022 Completion of an industrial apprenticeship program is a plus u2022 Experience with industrial & mechanical systems required, cooling systems preferred u2022 Construction site experience required, data center familiarity preferred. u2022 Thorough working knowledge of industrial & mechanical equipment, its usage, and safety procedures u2022 Self-motivated, responsible and Safety Oriented individual. u2022 Learns and applies standard tools and techniques to solve problems. u2022 Demonstrates a positive u201ccan-dou201d attitude. u2022 Takes responsibility for self-performance (ability to manage time and responsibilities independently). u2022 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations. u2022 Willing to lead time while working alongside direct reports u2022 Must have a flexible schedule, willing to work off hours and overtime depending on construction schedule Experience directly managing and leading others, a team of 3Excellent communication skills, electronic/virtual, written, and in person. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
