What You'll get to Do: As the Supply Chain Planning Specialist , you will serve as a key onsite Global Supply Chain (GSC) professional for our brand-new Blue Ridge Advanced Manufacturing Center. This is a high-impact opportunity to architect the GSC and Supplier Performance Management (SPM) operational landscape of a startup-style environment backed by the resources of a global defense leader. You will be the primary onsite lead for our GSC and SPM organization. In this role, you will connect program, PMO, GSC, and SPM functional resources across multiple sites and ensure that the tactical needs of our shop floor are addressed from the GSC perspective. We are looking for a process-thinking visionary who can take a greenfield site and establish a high-performing last mile process for success in the GSC domain, supported by numerous GSC professional and leaders across the organization. Basic Qualifications for the Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist: + Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Global Supply Chain/Logistics/Supplier Performance Management or a Master's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Global Supply Chain/Logistics/Supplier Performance Management + GSC experience in an Aerospace /Defense/DOD environment + Experience in forecasting demand, identifying critical material gaps early, developing corrective actions, and recovering program schedules and budgets + Experience in driving endu2011tou2011end delivery execution, ensuring that finalu2011leg shipments meet timing, product quality, and compliance standards + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams + Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance and additional program clearances + US citizenship is required. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
