Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician text 8 4 7 5 8 0 2 8 1 4 if interested Job Description This position is responsible for maintaining the production machinery and warehouse, as well as performing various maintenance and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Responsibilities + Assist with day-to-day operations of the facility and maintain the warehouse in a safe and organized manner. + Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and equipment, including CNC, punch press, and press brake. + Perform preventative maintenance on machinery. + Assist with calibration and maintenance of various machinery. + Possess knowledge of low to medium voltage power systems. + Perform general repairs in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC. + Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, scissor and boom lifts, forklifts, and climb ladders to access elevated areas and rooftops. + Drive and operate company vehicles. + Respond to emergencies during off-hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. + Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role with knowledge of production equipment, controlled environments, and critical systems. + Understanding of facilities operations, physical plant, safety and security, and fire protection systems. + Ability to comprehend blueprints, drawings, and schematics. + Experience in machine shop equipment maintenance. + Proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical experience, control panel diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical repair, industrial robotics, and PLC troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is medium-sized with 60 employees, manufacturing products from start to finish in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. It is clean, modernly designed, and maintains comfortable temperatures for working. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
