Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team and manage maintenance operations at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and replacing the current lead technician who will be retiring soon. This role requires expertise in plating, coating, or powder coating industries, and involves heavy electrical knowledge for panel and wiring tasks. The candidate must excel in troubleshooting older machinery without diagrams and demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills. Responsibilities + Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including sensors, relays, motors, 480V, and both 3-phase and single-phase motors. + Utilize a volt meter for diagnosing electrical issues. + Perform mechanical troubleshooting involving hydraulics and pneumatics. + Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed. + Handle panel wiring and troubleshooting with expertise. Essential Skills + Minimum of several years' experience in a maintenance industrial setting. + Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, specifically with sensors, relays, motors, and high-voltage systems. + Extensive experience using a volt meter for diagnostics. + Strong knowledge in panel wiring and troubleshooting. + Mechanical troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Background in plating, coating, or powder coating. + Welder and fabricator skills. + Experience in facilities maintenance, including building maintenance. + Plumbing skills. + Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics. Work Environment Work within a dynamic plating facility that offers good circulation throughout the plant. The environment is not the cleanest, but it is functional. The position requires work boots and personal tools, which can be stored on-site. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7am to 4pm or 4:30pm, with occasional off-shift calls based on maintenance needs. Expect to work between 45-50 hours a week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
