TEKsystems has a client is looking for a Field Technician in the Lansing area to help them with troubleshooting and deploying technology on their job sites. This person will be in-office 5 days a week unless they are traveling to job sites. This is a contract to hire role with the target of bringing on full-time after 6 months. The Field Technician provides hands-on technical support for job sites, ensuring teams have reliable access to the technology they need. This role bridges office IT systems with active construction environments through on-site setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. + Field Technology Setup & Support + Configure and maintain job site trailers, networking equipment, Wiu2011Fi, and printers. + Deploy and support field hardware such as iPads, laptops, and meeting room devices. + Service Desk & Troubleshooting + Manage and respond to IT support tickets, prioritizing field issues. + Provide Tier 1 support for hardware, software, and connectivity problems. + Document all work in the ticketing system. + Onu2011Site Engagement + Visit job sites regularly to perform preventative maintenance. + Serve as the primary IT contact for project teams and support infrastructure needs. + Asset Management + Track and manage technology equipment and inventory across projects. Qualifications + Education: Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. + Experience: 2+ years in IT support; construction/AEC industry experience is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
