Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and a strong ability to handle procurement activities efficiently. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. u2022 Monitor and expedite purchase orders to meet organizational deadlines and requirements. u2022 Accurately update delivery dates and ensure all procurement records are kept current. u2022 Track and manage purchase order deliveries to align with project timelines and company needs. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to support purchasing activities and resolve any procurement issues. u2022 Analyze supplier performance and provide recommendations for improvements. u2022 Assist in planning and managing purchasing materials to optimize inventory levels. u2022 Review purchase agreements and requisitions to ensure compliance with company policies. u2022 Support additional procurement-related tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related functions. u2022 Proficiency in managing purchase orders and tracking deliveries. u2022 Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including requisitions and agreements. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships. u2022 Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in updating procurement records. u2022 Experience with purchasing management tools and systems. u2022 Familiarity with inventory planning and material management.
