Substation Manager

Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Substation Manager to join a U.S top 10 engineering client in Denver, CO. This individual will join a nationally ranked Power Delivery team responsible for shaping how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered as global energy demands grow. In this role, youu2019ll draw upon your broad technical knowledge and experience in design and construction of high voltage Substation projects to lead, guide, and advise clients, projects, and teams. You will develop a partnership with the Project Manager (PM), whereas the PM is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and overall client management, you will be responsible for technical execution of the project. You will also take responsibility for hiring, developing, and supervising a technical team of engineers and technicians. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role where the individual will role with an hourly pay rate range of $63.78-$91.12 while on contract and a conversion salary range of $145,600-$189,530. Additional duties include, but arenu2019t limited to u2013 u2003u00b7 Develops and implements a project execution plan for the technical aspect of projects. u2003u00b7 Assigns project tasks and provides technical guidance to project team members. u2003u00b7 Develops a partnership with a PM, leading the technical team and execution of the project deliverables. Supports the technical aspect of scope, schedule, and budget, including proposal development, work breakdown structure development and implementation, progress assessment, risk assessment/mitigation, change management, and schedule management. u2003u00b7 Works independently and will direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise one or more Project Engineers, EITu2019s, or CADD/Designers. u2003u00b7 Coordinates and/or performs quality checks and reviews for all project deliverables per the Clientu2019s Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world class quality product to the client. Performs quality checks and/or reviews of projects from other teams on an as needed basis. u2003u00b7 Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations. u2003u00b7 Works with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise and will attend training and seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to their discipline. u2003u00b7 May also assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase Clientsu2019s technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events. u2003u00b7 Participates in project reviews as needed.
