Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description The Sheet Metal Mechanic role involves performing aircraft customization and modification, focusing on Bombardier Globals and King Air aircraft. You will be responsible for executing sheet metal repairs and modifications on aircraft structures. Responsibilities + Perform sheet metal repairs and modifications on aircraft structures. + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals. + Fabricate and install sheet metal parts using hand tools and power tools. Essential Skills + 6+ years experience performing sheet metal and heavy structural modifications. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Must have own tools (tools must be etched, inventoried, and shadowed). + PPE-safety shoes required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in depot, aircraft repair, and modification. + Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and installation. + Knowledge of aviation and aircraft sheet metal. Work Environment The company operates at the Hagerstown Regional Airport, within an electronic defense company setting. The MRO facility performs military ISR modifications to a variety of turboprop aircraft, including King Air and Bombardier Globals. Most of the work centers around installations and maintenance of systems on King Air. The environment is fast-paced, production-based, and heavily regulated. Candidates will work in a hangar setting, responsible for performing aircraft modifications, and must be comfortable in such a dynamic environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
