Description We are partnering with a leading ISP client in Ames, Iowa to fill a Cable Technician (Contract-to-Hire) role. Eligibility Requirements (must meet all to apply): + U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder + Valid driveru2019s license + Ability to pass a standard background check What Youu2019ll Do + Install, route, and secure Cat 5 and Cat 6 cables in new construction and renovation projects. + Terminate phone jacks and distribution frames (66/110 blocks, patch panels). + Assemble and organize server racks, patch panels, and network closets. + Perform conduit bending, rack-and-stack operations, and troubleshooting of broadband/network systems. + Conduct fiber optic work, including SC and LC terminations, anaerobic splicing, and testing. + Use tools such as digital multi-meters and cable testers to ensure high-quality installations. + Interpret schematic and line diagrams to deliver accurate and reliable builds. + Follow industry standards (ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEC) to maintain compliance and quality.
