Description We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and optimize accounting and financial operations within our oil and gas organization in Breaux Bridge, LA (near Lafayette.) This position is ideal for a self-motivated leader with extensive industry expertise, exceptional technical accounting skills, and the ability to manage complex financial reporting processes. The role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure compliance, streamline operations, and provide valuable insights to support organizational growth. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the financial close process. u2022 Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. u2022 Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, organizational policies, and robust internal controls. u2022 Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis to guide financial planning. u2022 Coordinate and lead audits, collaborating with external auditors and advisors to ensure compliance. u2022 Establish and maintain comprehensive financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Offer strategic financial insights and analytical support to inform executive decision-making. u2022 Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and strong performance. u2022 Collaborate on system implementations or upgrades to improve accounting processes and reporting capabilities. u2022 Monitor revenue and cost accounting processes specific to oil and gas operations. Thank you Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. u2022 At least 10 years of experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant Controller, preferably in the oil and gas industry. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis. u2022 Expertise in accounting software and experience with Foundation Construction software. u2022 Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards, with a focus on accuracy and detail. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities effectively. u2022 Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of integrity. u2022 Proven experience in revenue accounting and cost accounting within the oil and gas sector.
