Machine Operator

Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of presses up to 75-ton capacity, manual lathes, and other equipment to produce deep draw formed products to specifications. Responsibilities + Set up and operate various presses and manual lathes. + Operate press shop equipment including hydraulic presses up to 75 tons, parts washers, vibratory machines, and other cleaning equipment. + Use specialized manual lathes, air, pedestal and centerless grinders, belt and disc sanders, and forklifts. + Utilize wood saws and setup and operate die sets. + Use precision measuring hand tools to verify conformance of parts to specifications. + Read schematics and drawings and use a tape measure. + Visually identify defects and build wood shipping containers. + Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Experience with machine operation and forklift operation. + Ability to read schematics and drawings. + Proficiency with hand tools and troubleshooting mechanical issues. + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Familiarity with using a tape measure and blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Candidates with previous lead or supervisor experience are preferred for higher pay rates. + Ability to work well with others and train in company methods and processes. + Focus on developing soft skills.
