Configuration Technician

Description Details Requisition Title: Configurations Tech Level I Requisition ID: CDWJP00009629 Description: Shift Hours: 12:30 pm to 9pm Role Overview The Technician Level One is responsible for installing and configuring hardware and software on a high volume of computers, printers and other products for customers on a daily basis. This will include un-boxing units to configure and boxing units back up to prepare for shipment. Key Areas of Responsibility u00a7 Configure customers systems to their required specifications. u00a7 Test systems to ensure 100% quality. u00a7 Maintain minimum monthly productivity goals. u00a7 Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including hardware, software and peripheral equipment. u00a7 Ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service. u00a7 Communicate issues concerning customer orders to the area Help Desk or Team Leader. u00a7 Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times. Responsibilities u00a7 Perform any additional duties assigned by management. u00a7 It may be necessary on occasion for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift u00a7 Overtime is to be expected and in some cases may be required u00a7 Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-67% of the workday) and 26 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday). The team lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds. u00a7 Demonstrate ability to push and pull up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday). u00a7 Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time. u00a7 Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications u00a7 High School diploma or GED. u00a7 A + Certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience with the ability to demonstrate knowledge. Other Required Qualifications u00a7 Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems u00a7 Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry u00a7 Ability to assemble and disassemble computer equipment, mechanically inclined u00a7 Obtain certifications and continually learn new technology. u00a7 Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-67% of the workday) and 26 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday). Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
