You are a proactive and collaborative team player, dedicated to supporting the mission of the Eligible Training Providers department at the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and safeguarding the interests of Texas students.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Career Schools and Colleges and ETP Program Specialist III performs complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:-Perform an array of technical assistance, training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities related to program assignment.-Perform comprehensive reviews of literature, statutes, rules, and/or policies and prepares administrative reports, studies, and specialized research projects.-Analyze new or existing ETP-related procedures, information systems, or related interfaces for efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with Chapter 840 of the Texas Administrative Code.-Prepare the ETPL for regular publication to the agencys website.-Serve as a TWC point of contact for Boards, training providers, and the public regarding the ETP programs procedures, policies, and automated system functions-Serve as liaison to staff, government agencies, community organizations, or the general public to explain and provide technical assistance on program specifics and requirements- Perform other duties as assigned.YOU QUALIFY WITH:-One year and six months of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:-Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the program area.-Knowledge of public administration and management techniques.-Knowledge of statistical analysis processes.-Knowledge of research techniques.-Knowledge of program management processes and techniques.-Skill in identifying measures or indicators of program performance.-Skill in operating computers and applicable software.- Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts.- Ability to devise solutions to problems.- Ability to prepare reports.- Ability to develop, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures.- Ability to communicate effectively.- Ability to train others.YOU GAIN:- A Family Friendly Certified Workplace.- Competitive starting salary: $4,473.73-$4,723.73/month- Defined Retirement Benefit Plan- Optional 401(k) and 457 accounts- Medical Insurance- Paid time off, including time for vacation, sick and family care leave- Additional benefits for active employees can be found atDuty involves up to 25% travel within the state of Texas.VETERANS:Use your military skills to qualify for this position or other jobs Go to to translate your military work experience and training courses into civilian job terms, qualifications, and skill sets.
