Sr. Sustainability Analyst

How youu2019ll make an impact: Carteru2019s Sustainability Department is responsible for setting the companyu2019s sustainability strategy and commitments and working cross-divisionally to manage and implement initiatives that support our efforts to be a more sustainable company. This role reports to the Senior Director of Sustainability and is based on-site in our Atlanta office. This role is responsible for supporting Carteru2019s Sustainability and ESG goals. Sustainability data management (60%): - Calculate Carteru2019s annual greenhouse gas Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions inventories - Measure progress towards our science-based Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction targets, and utilize supplier data to support the setting of a Scope 3 reduction target - Compile waste generation data from Carteru2019s offices, distribution centers, and retail stores, and track progress towards landfill diversion goals - Collaborate across divisions to support packaging reduction and sustainability by leveraging packaging data to comply with packaging and waste regulations, internationally and domestically - Compile water consumption data from corporate office, distribution centers, retail stores, and suppliers, and track progress towards water reduction efforts - Support annual external verification of environmental key performance indicators (KPIs) - Manage implementation of Envizi and other tools, like Higg FEM, and leverage these tools for ongoing reporting and analysis of environmental KPIs, incl. energy consumption, waste generation, and water reduction across the business - Support life cycle analyses by product type, in preparation for upcoming reporting and regulation External ESG rankings and ratings (30%): - Support the compilation and submittal of various sustainability/ESG-related questionnaires and assessments, e.g. CDP, S&P Global CSA, Sustainalytics, ISS - Identify and address gaps in Carteru2019s public disclosures and ESG questionnaire responses in order to improve external ESG rankings and ratings Community Impact Reporting (10%): - Compile monthly volunteer hours and support the overall collection and management of data needed to support our Community Impact goals Weu2019d Love to hear from you if: Must have: - Strong data management and carbon accounting skills to drive effective outcomes - Previous experience with greenhouse gas inventory calculations - Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint etc. - B.S. or M.S. and 3-5 years work experience in a field related to environmental sciences, sustainability, data management, mathematics, or finance Preferred skills and experience: - Effective communication and attention to detail - Strong project and time management skills - Adaptability, flexibility in tasks and duties; comfortable with change Make a career at Carteru2019s: Career Development: Success starts from within, and we have several paths from which you can choose to enhance your career evolution.
