By maintaining and optimizing critical systems such as HVAC, BAS communication, and environmental controls in sensitive clinical areas, our work directly supports world-class patient care. Candidates joining PC&PF can expect a supportive, team-oriented workplace that values expertise, open communication, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in building automation systems-preferably within a hospital environment-and demonstrates a strong foundation in troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC systems. They possess general BAS knowledge, familiarity with building automation controls, and the ability to diagnose issues related to hot water, chilled water, humidity, temperature, and air pressure systems commonly found in pharmacy and OR settings. While BAS experience is a must-have, candidates with additional skills such as MAXIMO (CMMS) experience, installation of valves and actuators (particularly SIEMENS products), electronic control systems, and communication with BOT teams on BAS signals and data will be highly valued. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and motivated to contribute to a department where every role is respected and collaborative problem-solving is central to success. The salary range is $69,000 - $86,000 - $103,000. Repair and maintain electronic and control equipment, respond to customer calls, provide support to emergencies, provides critical thinking and leadership Respond to client requests and emergency calls. Performs functions on live circuits and in operating controls enclosures. May install, troubleshoot and repair 120, 208, 240 and 480 volt controls and equipment per NEC guidelines. 1. Skilled in practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of electronic technician trade: a. Skilled in the used of the following tools/calibrating instruments: thermocouple calibrator, resistance temperature, detector calibrator, voltage and current generator, multi-meters, and decade resistance box. b. Maintain and repair typical building electronic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. c. Install, calibrate, and check assigned systems using manual dexterity, hand tools, and visual ability. d. Examine and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects. e. Run conduit, pull wire, and install circuits for electrically powered units. 2. Maintain/repair/calibrate HVAC systems to include air handling units, fan coil units, terminal boxes, dampers, thermostats sensors, control valves, and associated HVAC equipment. 3. Troubleshoot equipment in or out of control systems, and replace or repair defective components: a. Requisition material. b. Ability to program microprocessors for initial commissioning and tune operating controls. c. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job. 4. Ability to Apply Craft Skills Knowledge - Reads, draws and interprets electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) schematics, one line diagrams and control sequence of operations.
