Project Controls Specialist

Job Title: Project Controls Specialist Location: Houston, Texas (77002) Type: Contract Compensation: $30 - $38 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid (once trained) We are currently seeking a Project Controls Specialist for a 2u20133 month temporary contract to support engineering and construction projects during a medical leave backfill. This opportunity is ideal for someone with project controls, cost control, or procurement experience who is available for a short-term assignment and can quickly integrate into a fast-paced project environment. Key Responsibilities: + Support cost control and schedule functions for engineering and construction projects + Monitor and report project costs on a weekly basis + Develop and maintain project progress, financial, and earned value reporting + Participate in project, supplier, and contractor meetings + Review, track, and process invoices, receipts, and progress payments + Implement and administer change control related to scope, budget, and schedule + Coordinate verification of equipment and material deliveries + Review third-party inspection reports and ensure compliance + Audit and close out project commitments throughout the project lifecycle + Assist with invoice processing and goods receipt compliance + Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Required: + High school diploma or equivalent + 3+ years of project-related experience (construction industry preferred) + Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred: + Associateu2019s or Bacheloru2019s degree + Experience supporting engineering, construction, or operations teams + Oil & gas industry experience a plus + Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, dependable, and able to work under pressure Compensation & Work Details: + Pay Rate: $30.00-38.00/hour + Schedule: 40 hours/week (some overtime during training, month-end close, or forecasting) + Hybrid Schedule: Remote work may be available on Wednesdays and Fridays after training + Dress Code: Business casual (jeans permitted) If you are interested in this opportunity or know someone who may be a good fit, please reach out directly to discuss next steps.
