Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. This role requires a strong focus on processing invoices, managing payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accounts payable functions and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and timely entry into the system. u2022 Prepare and execute check runs to fulfill payment obligations. u2022 Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions. u2022 Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies. u2022 Utilize accounting software to manage invoice processing and payment workflows. u2022 Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable. u2022 Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and reconcile accounts. u2022 Support the team in maintaining accurate financial documentation and reports. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures during all financial activities. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. u2022 Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and payment procedures. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software systems such as Intacct or ServiceTitan is a plus. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. u2022 Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions. u2022 Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. u2022 Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
