Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Fleet Manager to lead and optimize our fleet operations. This role involves overseeing fleet utilization, managing repairs and downtime, coordinating capital expenditures, and ensuring compliance with fleet transport standards. The Fleet Manager will also be responsible for managing internal shop operations, developing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate reporting and auditing processes to support the efficient and cost-effective operation of the fleet.Key Responsibilities:Fleet Utilization and Reporting: Manage fleet utilization through reporting, audits, and justifications to ensure efficient vehicle use.Downtime and Repair Management: Oversee downtime management, including addressing major and minor breakdowns. Approve large repairs and manage related projects.Capital and Asset Management: Oversee capital management for fleet replacement, repairs, and additions. Coordinate with Fleet Coordinator on asset setup, transfers, and ternal Shop Operations Support: Provide direct support to the local fleet team in managing internal shop operations, ensuring effective processes and adherence to policies. Assist in overseeing apprenticeship programs and ensuring they align with operational goals. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate with third-party vendors, and ensure M5 system utilization for pliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules. Conduct P&L audits and reporting to business unit management and Fleet Director. Oversee truck R&M (repair and maintenance) budgeting.Fleet Transport Compliance: Ensure adherence to all fleet transport compliance standards andregulations.Qualifications:Proven experience in fleet management, asset coordination, and repair management.Strong knowledge of fleet reporting, auditing, and compliance standards.Experience in managing internal shop operations and vendor relationships.Proficiency in M5 and fleet management systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.We thank you for your interest.
