Job Title: Quality Metal InspectorLocation: Groveport, OhioRate: Starting at $22/HR, depending on experienceu00a0Position Overview:The Quality Metal Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all fabricated and machined metal products meet company and customer quality standards. This hands-on position requires strong mechanical inspection skills, the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision metal fabrication, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented job shop environment.u00a0Position Responsibilities:Inspect fabricated metal products and assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.Perform mechanical inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.Read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, geometric tolerances, and weld symbols (GDT).Convert between Metric and English measurements, and between fractions and decimals.Accurately document inspection results and prepare certifications and reports as required.Identify defects and nonconforming products, determine disposition, and recommend corrective actions.Support and execute material inspection procedures, calibration systems, and statistical techniques.Operate, program, and calibrate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment (experience preferred).Maintain compliance with ISO procedures and internal quality standards.Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe inspection
