Summary THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN JFHQ IN J6, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D2490P02. Responsibilities Provides executive leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure acquisition, development, and retention of a professional, highly capable workforce to accomplish assigned missions. Establishes performance standards and evaluates employee performance. Collaborates with other supervisors and managers within the directorate to negotiate, decide on, or coordinate work-related changes affecting them. Resolves inquiries and problems concerning access, use, and availability of datacenter technologies. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY GRADES: E1 through E8, W01 through CW4, OR O1 through O4 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 25, 255 series IT-RELATED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience should include managing, supervising, leading, administering, developing, delivering, and supporting information technology (IT) systems and services. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Thorough knowledge of information technology principles, concepts and methods. Information Technology includes systems and services used in the automated acquisition, storage, manipulation, management, movement, control, display, switching, interchange, transmission, assurance, or reception of information. Also included are computers, network components, peripheral equipment, software, firmware, services, and related resources.
