Summary This position is located in the Office of Economics and Analytics (OEA), Economic Analysis Division (EAD), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. Relocation expenses will not be paid. THIS VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT MAY BE USED TO FILL ADDITIONAL POSITIONS WITHIN 90 DAYS. Responsibilities Directs efforts toward assuring broadest possible understanding and acceptance of Commission policies; and defends Commission actions. Serves as the technical authority for economic policy decisions on projects and reports. Evaluates projects for conformance with policy and planning requirements, existing laws, directives, and regulations. Monitors developments in economic policy affecting OEA and the Commission. Identifies and evaluates emerging economic issues requiring regulations or policy developments, evaluates alternatives, and recommends approaches to be taken. Assesses the current state of the Commission's economic regulatory programs, identifies areas of adverse economic impact on the public or the regulated industry. Oversees review conferences and conducts briefings and presents technical aspects of the reports, explains and substantiates review issues; and/or presents views on unresolved issues, responds to questions, identifies available options for decisions, and recommends courses of action. Requirements Conditions of Employment FCC Employees Only. Suitable for employment as determined by a background investigation. Current FCC employees must provide SF-50 verifying grade & status. Resume must not exceed two pages and must meet resume format criteria. Transcripts required upon selection. Financial Disclosure may be required. Must be a U.S. Citizen. A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required. In order to be considered for this position, applicants must: -Currently be employed in the Federal Communications Commission in positions serving under career or career conditional appointments. ALL FCC EMPLOYEES MUST provide a legible Personnel Action, SF-50, that verifies your status and highest permanently held grade.
