Description The Managing Director of the Investment Grade (IG) Syndicate desk is a senior-level leader that leads the strategy, execution, and risk management of all investmentu2011grade debt capital markets transactions. This role is responsible for managing issuer relationships, driving primary market execution, overseeing deal distribution, and partnering with DCM, Sales & Trading, and Capital Markets leadership to deliver bestu2011inu2011class issuance outcomes. The Managing Director is a key external ambassador for the firmu2019s IG desk and an internal leader driving operational excellence, revenue growth, and market share. Duties and Responsibilities: + Lead the execution of all investmentu2011grade bond transactions, including corporates, financials, agencies, and SSAs. + Provide strategic newu2011issue guidance to issuers, including market tone, pricing levels, investor demand, and structural considerations. + Manage all aspects of book building, orderbook analysis, allocation strategy, pricing, and postu2011pricing communication. + Ensure flawless operational execution in partnership with DCM, Legal, Operations, Sales, and Trading. + Maintain realu2011time understanding of IG spreads, credit curves, macro drivers, and investor flows. + Publish and communicate market color to issuers, internal partners, and sales teams. + Represent the firmu2019s views with authority in client meetings, roadshows, and market updates. + Build and sustain senioru2011level relationships with corporate treasurers, CFOs, funding teams, and institutional investors. + Advise issuers on market conditions, funding windows, structural alternatives, and relative value opportunities. + Drive competitive positioning in underwriting assignments and league table performance. + Lead, mentor, and develop a highu2011performing IG syndicate team. + Set execution standards, define best practices, and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory expectations. + Partner with senior leadership across DCM, Capital Markets, and Markets businesses on strategy, resource allocation, and franchise development. + Oversee underwriting, capital usage, risk assessment, and balance sheet deployment in coordination with credit and risk teams. + Ensure the desk operates within regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and market standards. + Maintain strong controls around deal documentation, orderbook integrity, and investor disclosures. + Provide business updates and performance insights to senior leadership. Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field + Minimum 12 yearsu2019 experience in Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance + FINRA Series 79, 63 (or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications: + Proven track record leading and executing largeu2011scale IG transactions across sectors. + Deep understanding of global credit markets, investor behavior, and newu2011issue mechanics. + Exceptional communication skills with ability to convey complex market views clearly. + Strong leadership, decisionu2011making, and crisisu2011management capabilities. + Demonstrated ability to build and maintain senior client relationships. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment + Exceptional communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels + Strategic thinker with a client-centric mindset and high professional integrity + Ability to embrace change, navigate constraints, and deliver innovative solutions #LI-ME1 #LI-Onsite Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
