The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams. A role in Planning means being in charge of the financials and forecasting for one of Targetu2019s businesses. Here, youu2019ll conduct comparative analysis of holiday or other seasonal performance reports and provide the insights that inform the Inventory teamu2019s work to ensure that product supports projected sales. Acting as the hub between Merchandising and Supply Chain, you will create a financial link between these two essential groups and have a voice in some of the most important decisions from a financial strategy standpoint. As a Merchandise Planner , youu2019ll provide in-season decision support, collaborate on assortment planning, recommend localization and channel strategies including cluster types and profiles, and lead demand forecasting. Youu2019ll support the divisional strategy through your category expertise and partnerships with cross-functional teams and vendors. You will conduct root cause analysis for variation between supply and demand forecasts to support u201cchase-cancelu201d decisions and communicate implications to vendors. Youu2019ll conduct scenario planning, build unit plans, and lead initial set planning and operationalization to optimize assortments. A large part of your role will be to interpret forecast results and conduct u201cwhat if?u201d analysis to guide your go-forward recommendations. You will validate the unit promo planning forecast, drive maintenance, risk analysis and decision-making by the Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence. And youu2019ll run event forecast creation and flow, analyzing item lifecycles and driving recommendations on end-of-season management. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. About You: u2022 Four-year degree or equivalent experience u2022 1+ years of Merchandising experience u2022 Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources into insights and recommendations u2022 Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams u2022 Flexible, resilient and nimble, comfortable working in u201cgrey areasu201d that are constantly changing u2022 Entrepreneurial spirit with strong decision-making, and organization skills, ability to balance the art and science of decision making u2022 Strong understanding of OTB, spending, and allocation concepts u2022 Experience with segmentation and seasonal businesses This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targetu2019s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team memberu2019s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
