Laboratory Manager I- Joglekar LabMed-Immunology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26000491)u00a0The Department of Immunology and Center for Systems Immunology is seeking a laboratory manager to manage a lab of 10+ individuals. The responsibilities of this position include performing cellular and molecular immunology experiments; assisting lab members in performing experiments; keeping a track of inventory, stocks; ordering and purchasing supplies; maintaining equipment and laboratory space. Must have extensive experience with various laboratory techniques, ability to manage experimental work, and ability to manage day to day operations of the laboratory. Organize the equipment and wet lab space devoted to these projects. Maintain mouse colonies and perform genotyping. Perform molecular, cell biological and biochemical experiments. Provide experimental assistance and scientific advice to lab members as well as scientific collaborators. Maintain accurate records of laboratory collection of plasmids, cell lines and antibodies. Responsible for all safety, compliance of regulations for radiation use, laboratory safety, chemical issues and animal protocols. These tasks require a skilled person who can work independently with minimum supervision from the principal investigator. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
