Test Engineer

Test Engineer 2 Job Summary & Essential Functions Provide test engineering for facility. Support Test Engineering function by providing guidance and support to other test engineers. Troubleshoot test fixtures, software, and procedures. u00b7 Perform analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products; develop testing procedures and fixtures as required o Develop test procedures, equipment and fixturing design responsibilities o Analyze customer requirements and develop testing procedures o Repair and maintenance of test fixtures u00b7 Install test software, programming software and repair test PCs u00b7 Repairing and troubleshooting test PCs u00b7 Assist Production with test needs and troubleshooting PCA down to the component u00b7 Work on and set up Engineering VLAN u00b7 Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities u00b7 Advanced ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams u00b7 Intermediate ability in schematic capture and electrical design u00b7 Intermediate knowledge of mechanical systems u00b7 Advanced knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits and theory u00b7 Advanced knowledge using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, 4wire LCR meters etc. u00b7 Advanced ability to troubleshoot down to the component level for both analog, digital, and embedded circuits/systems. u00b7 Proficient with Solid Works, AutoCAD and/or other drafting applications u00b7 Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies, including Ethernet and TCP/IP u00b7 Advanced technical writing and documentation skills u00b7 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings u00b7 Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware u00b7 Soldering skills, rework with through hole and SMT components u00b7 Ability to build prototypes and wire systems u00b7 Intermediate level in MS Office applications (Word,Excel, and Outlook) u00b7 Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside and outside the organization u00b7 Ability to provide solutions to complex problems u00b7 Ability including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities u00b7 Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results u00b7 Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment Required Experience & Education u00b7 Bachelor's degree in related technical field + Three years of relevant work experience required u00b7 Masteru2019s degree in related technical field + Two years of relevant work preferred u00b7 Previous experience with technical writing u00b7 Previous experience with PC hardware, OS system, and installing and working with test software Hiring level 2 through senior level. The pay on posting is not accurate. Actual pay range is 60k - 105k. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
