JOB REQUIREMENTS: Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin.BETTER TOGETHER 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week The Behavioral Health UnitClerk - Psychiatry (Psychiatry Unit Clerk) will be the initial pointperson for the Psychiatric providers, Behavioral Health nurses, andSPARC. They will provide administrative functions for the Psychiatricproviders and Behavioral Health nurses and will provide programcoordination and support for SPARC. In addition, the Psychiatry UnitClerk will have some cross coverage responsibilities for the FoundationsIOP Unit Clerk. The Psychiatry Unit Clerk will work under thesupervision of the Behavioral Health Nursing Manager with additionalaccountability to the Medical Director of Behavioral Health. JOB SPECIFIC MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum one(1) year work experience in a setting that requires customer serviceskills required. Work experience in a Medical Reception settingpreferred. Relevant training may be substituted for work experience.Previous experience using the telephone in a service capacity preferred.Experience with medical terminology preferred. Excellent organizationalskills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsrequired. Excellent customer service skills required. Ability to beculturally sensitive and work with a diverse patient population. Abilityto work harmoniously and cooperatively with all personnel and the publicrequired. Ability to act in a professional manner when dealing withpractitioner staff, personnel of other departments, fellow employees,and the public. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality required.Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA requirements. Knowledge of andability to use various computer programs including Microsoft 365 Suite(Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and Epic. Ability to useand/or learn on-line systems such as electronic medical record andappointment scheduling. Knowledge of Epic Systems is desirable, but notrequired.
