Adjusts weld gas flow per given wps instructions. Sets up manualweld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions.Verifies proper tooling is installed in the robot or staged in manualarea. Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing,location, ECT). Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and workinstructions. Welds part per customer provided prints. Removes weldspatter and scale from finished parts. May be required to removematerial by grinding (metal finishing) using power tools and manually tomeet customer specifications. Performs quality checks per set up sheet.Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly andclean. Setup and operate robotic weld cells. Required to rework parts upto customer specifications. Qualifications What it takes to be a MANUALWELDER with MEC: High school diploma or general education degree (GED),or one-year related experience and/or training is preferred. Ability totrain, communicate, and work with others. Ability to do basic math Beable to lift and move 50 pounds Ability to compute rate, ratio, andpercent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
