JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the Lead AutomotiveAccount Manager - West Coast, the SOCAL Automotive Sales Engineer isresponsible for maintaining current customer relationships andidentifying areas for potential growth with established and newcustomers in the electric vehicle market. The primary role will beserving as the key account manager for a major electric vehicle companywith responsibility for several smaller accounts. The role isresponsible for being the main point of contact for communicationregarding product selections and opportunity generation. This positionis based primarily in the SOCAL area, with travel to the West Coastregion as required. This individual will work with a cross-functionalteam, including sales, project management, product management, andengineering, to achieve success. Essential Functions: Serve as the keyaccount manager for SOCAL automotive vehicle customers. Coordinate andalign domestically and globally for relevant opportunities as required.Expand HellermannTyton's position in low-voltage, high-voltage vehicleelectrification systems as well as fluid routing opportunities. Uncoveropportunities in standard, platform-based, and custom products Attendand lead selected customer-facing meetings to drive opportunities tospecify HellermannTyton's products. Support overall business directionas set by automotive sales and marketing leadership with vettedinformation and strategic clarity to ensure key activities are movingforward. Work with customer engineering teams to assess standard plasticfasteners/clips for wiring harnesses and fluid routings, offersubstitutions, and deliver new, improved offerings. Use understanding oftechnical drawings, documents, and automotive testing requirements toconvert information into recommendations and next steps to achieve thespecification. Understand and have full knowledge of OEM specificationsfor standard parts and leverage that to gain market share. Follow andimprove process flows to enable efficient multi-stakeholder directionand understanding of key actions and commitments. Manage customerscurrent and upcoming platforms and develop sales plans in-line withcustomers goals Maintain familiarity with competitors' products andidentify opportunities Effectively communicate status, actions,milestones, and activities to key stakeholders. Other Functions: Abilityto discern opportunities and roadblocks to the goals of a project anddrive results for increased sales. Qualifications (skills, knowledge,experience) BS from an accredited four-year college or university,engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of adegree Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. 5+ years ofprofessional experience demonstrating mechanical and engineeringaptitude, along with successful key customer responsibilityAutomotive...
