Oversee efficient flow of product; striving to make surecomponent parts, containers and production supplies are always at theline to eliminate any line stoppage. Responsible for product quality,and workmanship of the department. Assists with developing andimplementing corrective actions that will drive positive KPIperformance. Assigns work based on the daily production schedule; and ifnecessary, makes adjustments as requested by supervisors and planners.Anticipate production delays, material shortages, equipmentmalfunctions, etc. and where feasible implement procedures to offsetloss of labor hours and schedule interruptions. Communicates necessaryrepairs of equipment to avoid excessive downtime. Monitor use of safetydevices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constantalert for hazardous conditions. Ensures proper safety behaviors arebeing followed. Ensure appropriate paperwork is properly completed foreffective process tracking to support Quality and continuous improvementefforts.
