JOB REQUIREMENTS: Department: Neuro / Med Surg 7E Schedule:Full Time(0.9) / Day Shift - 12 hour shifts Hospital:Columbia Saint Mary'sLocation:Milwaukee, WI 7 East is a 32 bed Medical/Surgical Unit thatspecializes in Neurology & Neurosurgery as well as Orthopedics.Diagnoses for our specialties include: Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury,Epilepsy & Seizures, brain & spinal procedures, and various orthopedicpost-surgical patients. In addition to our specialties, we care forgeneral Med/Surg patients with diagnoses such as AKI, ETOH/OpioidWithdrawal, AMS/Falls, Sepsis, DKA, & CHF This unit is an excellentlearning opportunity for new graduates and seasoned nurses alike lookingto further their knowledge and clinical skills in Med/Surg withNeuro/Ortho specialties. Monitor,record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. - Serve as aprimary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patientcare. - Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - Assess andcoordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of thehealthcare team.
