Job Summary Theprincipal responsibilities include engineering and constructionmanagement of capital improvements. The Engineering Major ProjectsSupervisor manages scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successfulstart-up and commissioning of projects, provides record keeping andongoing system monitoring in support of operations, maintenance andfuture planning, provides benchmarking information on engineering andconstruction services and is involved with resource allocationfunctions. The Engineering Major Projects Supervisor manages largeDistribution, Transmission, or Substation capital improvement projects.Job Responsibilities Project scoping, permitting, and licensing. Ensureaccurate completion of construction cost estimates, engineering design,construction management, and job close-out. Write and enforce contractsand ensure on-time and on-budget project completions. Monitor andevaluate in-house engineering and construction and/or externalengineering and construction workforces. Apply a wide variety of codes,standards and regulations and coach others on proper use. Completeengineering documentation and maintain corporate records. Coordinatewith professional engineering staff to improve equipment and systemreliability, efficiency and performance. Conduct research on complexissues to develop innovative approaches.
