FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details:Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: The Transplant Coordinator - BMT is anexperienced bone marrow transplant nurse who acts as a liaison betweenpatients, families, hospital staff, and referring physicians forpatients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant. The responsibilities spanthe pre and post transplant period. Responsibilities includeparticipating in clinical management in collaboration with all necessarydisciplines to coordinate patient services and education across thecontinuum of care, ensuring coordination of care. The TransplantCoordinator plays a vital role in the assessment, education and thecoordination of care of patients and their families required throughoutthe transplantation process. Patient care is provided based on thenursing process. The Transplant Coordinator mentors others to promotequality and excellence of care and works collaboratively with andprovides leadership within the multi disciplinary health care team tooptimize outcomes. Other activities include the collection and maintenance of data required for patient care, research and reporting tooutside agencies. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: 3years experience in clinical oncology nursing is required. BMT clinicalexperience preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelor's Degree inNursing is required. In lieu of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, staffhired prior to July 1st, 2026 may be grandfathered into role if theyhave an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a total of 10 or more yearsof experience in oncology nursing and bone marrow transplantcoordination. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Experience in Microsoft Officeneeded is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current state ofWisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License froma participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). AmericanHeart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider(BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days. OCN(Oncology Certified Nurse) is preferred.
