FTE: 0.200 Standard Hours: 8.00 Shift: Shift 2 Shift Details: 1rotating weekday shift of 4:00 pm-9:30 pm Holidays: rotation coverageWeekends: rotate every 5th weekend Job Summary: Provides patientcentered care across all areas of Imaging Services. Clerical duties mayinclude but are not limited to: reception, way finding, registration,insurance verification, documentation in EMR, utilization of properphone etiquette. Patient care duties may include but are not limited to:detailed/clear communication by phone and in person to prepare patientsfor studies, monitoring inpatients and assisting them with basic needs,monitoring patients, transporting patients to and from the imagingdepartment and assisting technologists with performing imaging studies.Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One year experience ina clinical or hospital setting is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: HighSchool diploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performingcare, resolving patient care problems and dealing with patients andfamilies. Ability to use general medical support equipment, includingpatient lifting devices; understand and follow instructions, as well asgive clear directions to patients and others in need of assistance andguidance; good listening skills. Ability to use standard officeequipment including computers, fax, copy, document scanners, and tubestations. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic LifeSupport for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalentis required within 90 days of hire.
