Job DescriptionA remote Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This position is a 6-month contract assignment. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of engineering experience or an equivalent degree and experience combination.Job Duties:Work with controls team to execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of electrical harnesses as well as other controls and accessories components.Create definitions of parts and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D drawings, pinout diagrams, tolerance stack ups, and electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, and assembly.Ensure drawings and models are managed consistently with industry standards for configuration managementEnsure designs follow standards for Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingSupport design reviews and collaborate with other disciplines.Travel 25% or lessRequired:Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experienceMust be a U.S. CitizenExperienced with harness routing design in CAD software Unigraphics NX, and proficiency with Teamcenter PLM software and Visio are required.Proficiency with GD&T and ASME Y14 standards are required.Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths.Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customersManage time efficiently, and produce accurate designsAbility to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasksExperience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not requiredWe provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $50/hr to $60/hr however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
