Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rochester, New York. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. u2022 Manage sales tax filings and resolve related discrepancies promptly. u2022 Record and maintain journal entries for various financial transactions. u2022 Oversee the general ledger to ensure proper reconciliation and reporting. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to streamline accounting processes and maintain financial records. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and prepare reports. u2022 Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws. u2022 Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and support. u2022 Monitor financial activities to identify and address irregularities. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing. u2022 Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting processes. u2022 Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger accounts. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar financial software. u2022 Excellent analytical skills to interpret and report financial data accurately. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. u2022 Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is preferred. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
