Job Description The position will provide Security and Driver Executive Protection to executives as needed and will have responsibilities in the following areas: executive protection, executive driving, special event support, travel security, advance location assessment and security assessment reviews. This position may also require performing security duties with the Metro One security team. The EP Driver needs to be able to solve problems in a discreet and effective manner, demonstrating the highest ethical standards when evaluating sensitive information or situations. The highest level of maturity and integrity is paramount in all transactions and protective measures. The EP Driver will report directly to the Director of Security and interact regularly with the Account Manager for the Metro One security team. Responsibilities: u2022 With respect to the physical security of the executives, the candidate should be well versed, with a clear understanding of the principles of Executive Protection. This includes working in and around groups of people, controlling the executiveu2019s body in emergencies, walking with the executives, providing security at arrivals and departures, providing security at public and private places/gatherings, and the use of portable shielding. u2022 Have the ability to handle emergency procedures, route planning, arrival and departure planning from various travel related venues, site survey /assessment abilities to ensure a safe environment for the Executives to be present in and planning for public/special event functions. u2022 The candidate should have knowledge of surveillance and counter surveillance techniques, conducting advance work, GPS and various appu2019s detailed knowledge to ensure the best options for route planning. u2022 Acts as a primary coordinator/liaison with other departments groups, administrative assistants, contract security services and public safety personnel. u2022 The candidate should possess the appropriate level of licensing to possess a firearm. The candidate should maintain this regulated level for the entire period of his/her employment and practice the necessary skills to be proficient in the use of firearms. The candidate should be familiar with and proficient in disarming techniques for all types of weapons. u2022 Discretion and trust are vital as the candidate must be able to maintain a high level of confidence. u2022 The candidate should have significant driving experience, attended vehicle operations courses, have tactical driving experience, knowledge of vehicle dynamics, anti-crime/terrorist driving and evasive maneuvering experience, and providing aircraft security. u2022 Extended hours, outside of steady work hours is required in this role due to executive travel, daily/evening meetings and activities. u2022 Maintain assigned equipment inventory and ensure operation of equipment by completing regular inspections and preventive maintenance. u2022 Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security including, but not limited to, monitoring and using appropriate Emergency Alert Systems, attend and work conference security details alongside other conference security vendors, assist with employee separations, conduct ET home security surveys, etc. Projects Managed: u2022 Regular contact with the Security Command Center to ensure vehicle maintenance and monitoring. u2022 Life Safety to include AED deployments, CPR and First Aid Certification. u2022 Facilitate CEO/Executive Team (ET) ground travel, managing various ground transportation issues and coordination. Function as a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) to coordinate President/ET departures/arrivals. u2022 Manage risk as it relates to the President/ET on a daily basis and Special Events. u2022 Develop and manage EP Strategies. u2022 Manage Security and Threat Assessment for assigned Executiveu2019s residence(s) (In order to modify protective profile as needed). u2022 Liaise with Administrative Assistant, security officials, and coordinate with Law Enforcement personnel. u2022 Manage and lead an EP team for the effective coordination and allocation of resources to maintain a secure and safe environment. Requirements: u2022 Excellent character, integrity, professional demeanor coupled by strong interpersonal and communication skills is required. u2022 Self-Starter with initiative and ability to follow protocol and chain of command. u2022 Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. u2022 Physically Fit u2013 drug and nicotine free. u2022 Willing to be subject to pre-employment background investigation, and random drug tests. u2022 Clean driving record, valid driveru2019s license and good knowledge of the CA metro areas. u2022 Emergency medical response may be required so a current AED/CPR and first aid certification are required.
