Sr. IT Auditor

Description Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for a Sr. IT Auditor for a contract, possible contract to hire role supporting a client in the Columbus, OH area. Role will support SOX and IT Audit compliance programs at the organization. This role will manage/execute internal IT audit activities as well as be the primary point of contact for external auditors related to SOX and IT Audits. This contract role is expected to last 3-6 months, with potential for conversion. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, including risk assessments, internal control testing, remediation of deficiencies, and stakeholder collaboration. u2022 Conduct internal audits to evaluate operational, financial, and compliance controls, while supporting external auditors with required documentation and testing. u2022 Identify areas for process improvements and recommend strategies to enhance internal controls and reduce organizational risks. u2022 Provide compliance training and guidance to teams across the company to strengthen overall adherence to regulatory standards. u2022 Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and communicate results effectively to senior leadership. u2022 Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment on risk mitigation strategies and compliance initiatives. u2022 Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance the organization's control framework. u2022 Assist in the development and implementation of risk management initiatives to ensure consistent organizational compliance. u2022 Serve as the subject-matter expert on SOX compliance and audit requirements, offering insights and solutions to complex challenges. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or external audit roles. u2022 Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks. u2022 Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines effectively. u2022 Excellent analytical skills coupled with clear and detail-oriented communication abilities. u2022 Familiarity with audit tools and techniques, including IT General Controls (ITGC). u2022 Preferred experience in public accounting or industries with high regulatory standards such as manufacturing or technology. u2022 Ability to work fully onsite in Columbus, Ohio, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
