At Childrenu2019s Hospital Association, we unite more than 200 member hospitals to put children firstu2014advancing care, informing policy, and driving progress together. Where Youu2019ll Work This position is based in our Washington, DC office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work. What Youu2019ll Do The Digital Communications Specialist focuses on content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring for the associationu2019s advocacy, partnerships, campaigns, and coalition activities. In collaboration with External Affairs and Brand Communications colleagues this role builds strategies and campaigns that align with CHAu2019s strategic communications plan and engage key audiences around CHAu2019s mission. + Create and publish engaging, brand-aligned content across social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) for the associationu2019s advocacy-related activities. + Partner with team members to implement an advocacy social media content calendar and ensure timely delivery of posts. + Collaborate with hospital members to ensure timely social media engagement. + Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, responding to inquiries and engaging with followers in a values-based, professional and timely manner. + Attend CHA advocacy-focused events to capture content and provide support for association leadership. + Lead live social media X chats or live streams. + Update design templates using tools like Canva or Adobe Express. + Guide short-form video editing or coordination for social media use. + Work closely with media relations, policy, federal affairs, and external affairs teams to support campaigns and initiatives. + Track and report on KPIs such as engagement, reach, and follower growth. Required Experience: What Youu2019ll Bring to CHA Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. + Bacheloru2019s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field. + A minimum of 3 yearsu2019 experience managing social media accounts, preferably for an advocacy-focused nonprofit or association. + Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. + Have a strong executive presence with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders of all backgrounds and levels. + Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills. + Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite). + Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. + Experience in basic video editing. + Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills. + Understanding of strategic messaging and strong writing skills for all social platforms. + Knowledge of hospitals, health care, and or childrenu2019s issues. + Understanding of social media and online communications. Fluency in a wide variety of social media trends and platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc. + Excellent writing, conceptual, analytical, and organizational skills. + Ability to attend events outside of traditional work hours and travel up to 15%. Min: $75,000 Max: $137,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
