This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Washington, DC for at least 60% of the work week. What does it take to be successful at Aflac? + Acting with Integrity + Communicating Effectively + Pursuing Self-Development + Serving Customers + Supporting Change + Supporting Organizational Goals + Working with Diverse Populations What does it take to be successful in this role? u2022 Knowledge of Federal Election Commission (FEC) Guidelines related to the PAC u2022 Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office suite software u2022 Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills u2022 Ability to oversee a budget in accordance with policies, procedures and internal control u2022 Ability to contribute suggestions to improve department operational effectiveness u2022 Excellent attention to detail Education & Experience Required + Bacheloru2019s degree in political science, communications or a related field + 2+ years of professional job-related work experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Travel Travel is less than or equal to 10%. Principal Duties & Responsibilities u2022 Oversees event scheduling for a $2 million per cycle PAC; coordinates a large volume of PAC check requests, in accordance with policies, procedures and internal controls u2022 Assists in planning and oversight of high-level political fundraising events, engaging with fundraisers and political campaign teams u2022 Develops recommended strategic plan for the lobbying team of PAC disbursements and allocations for PAC giving u2022 Supports annual PAC solicitation campaigns for employees and field force u2022 Engages with external fundraising consultants and strategy consultants u2022 Advises lobbying team on political meetings with Members of Congress and their staff u2022 Manages Aflac PAC database and associated data feeds u2022 Supports reporting for all facets of the Aflac PAC u2022 Fosters and builds relationships with campaigns, fundraisers, and finance teams u2022 Proactively identifies and implements industry best practices u2022 Works independently to analyze issues to determine best solutions; sets priorities, plans and organizes workload, and meets established deadlines; maintains consistent communication to ensure proper management intervention u2022 Leads and coordinates projects of simple to moderate complexity; participates on division or other company-wide projects for the department or works with employee groups producing/originating solutions to improve service and other initiatives that normally impact the division, department, and/or business unit u2022 Performs other related duties as required Total Rewards The salary range for this job is $75,000 - $95,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
