Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Opening: Diesel Mechanic u2013 2nd Shift (Frankfort KY) Pay Rate: $32u2013$35 per hour (based on experience) Shift: 2nd Shift Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Republic is seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team on 2nd shift . This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations. Key Responsibilities + Diagnose and repair diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment + Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles + Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems + Conduct inspections to identify safety and mechanical issues + Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately + Follow all company safety policies and procedures Required Qualifications + Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician + Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems + Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues + Experience using diagnostic tools and shop equipment + Ability to work 2nd shift reliably + Valid driveru2019s license (CDL a plus, if applicable) Preferred Qualifications + Fleet maintenance experience + Welding or fabrication experience + ASE certifications + Experience with refuse trucks or similar heavy-duty equipment What We Offer + Competitive pay of $32u2013$35/hour + Steady 2nd shift schedule + Overtime opportunities + Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO) + Modern shop environment with well-maintained equipment + Long-term career stability and growth opportunities Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Frankfort, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $104000.00/yr.
