Make a realdifference in patients' and their owners' lives This role includes amix of afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts as part of a rotatingschedule. Schedule options will be discussed and agreed upon during thehiring process. Key Job Responsibilities: Documents and disseminatesresults to the appropriate entities (15%) Serves as a point of contactfor animal owners and stakeholders providing information and answeringquestions (15%) Prepares, completes, monitors, and documents complextechnical animal care procedures and work unit activities, assessments,and medication administration according to established care plans andmedical necessity (20%) Assists in the facilitation of trainings foranimal care staff and supervises student employees as needed (15%)Completes appropriate laboratory tests and collects specimens accordingto established medical orders and care plans (5%) Develops recordkeepingprocesses, maintains organization of and updates records related tomedical procedures and billing (5%) Tracks supply inventory levels andplaces replenishment orders (15%) Monitors animal health status andrecords, provides nursing care, notifies veterinarian when statuschanges, and records in the medical record (10%)Department: School ofVeterinary Medicine UW Veterinary Care Hospital Large AnimalCompensation: The starting hourly rate for the position is $22.00 (butis negotiable based on experience and qualifications).
