JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assistant Director, Advancement Services PostingNumber: NA01537 Employment Status: Full Time Job Family: AdvancementPosition Overview The Assistant Director of Advancement Services servesas a key partner in supporting and maintaining constituent and donordata in the MarqIt database (Blackbaud CRM ) for University Advancementand campus partners. (S)he works with Advancement Services colleagues onthe timely production of reports related to requests for information,including work to maintain the integrity of data in the advancementdatabase. This position is also responsible for designing, leading andimplementing process improvement projects around the MarqIt database andreporting needs. In collaboration with the Managing Director of AnnualGiving and Advancement Services, (s)he will ensure the use of the MarqItdatabase is maximized and enhance efficiencies around reporting and datamaintenance projects. This position has the opportunity to work in ahybrid work arrangement with time worked both on campus as well asremotely. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Oversee and fulfill reportrequests for database information needs for University Advancement andcampus partners. Create and format reports for donor outreach, eventpromotion, prospect research/development and more. Use Power BI, queriesthrough Blackbaud CRM (MarqIt), Microsoft Reporting Systems and othersoftware tools to create reports in support of the database. Maintaincontinual involvement in process improvement efforts for enhancedcustomer service. Communicate with colleagues verbally and in writing ina timely, supportive and informative manner. 2. Collaborate withAdvancement colleagues around data needs for key stewardship outreach,such as annual investor reports, donor recognition projects and givingsociety membership. 3. Identify opportunities to create self-servicereports for frequent requests. Create and maintain a library of customreports. Train teammates around opportunities to utilize these tools. 4.Participate in team efforts to create efficiencies around data andreporting functions. Promote best practices in gathering, storing, andmaintaining MarqIt (Blackbaud CRM ) database. 5. Responsible for thesupervision of staff which includes but is not limited to hiring,terming, disciplinary actions, performance management, staffdevelopment, mentoring, etc. 6. Work collaboratively with various areasof University Advancement on projects relating to Advancement keyinitiatives as needed. 7. Create and utilize reporting tools forbenchmarking surveys from industry partners (i.e. CASE , JAA , etc.).Review data with Advancement partners to ensure accuracy beforesubmission. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's degreein business administration, IT, or related field. At least 2 years ofrelated experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, includingsignificant experience and expertise with Microsoft Excel. Strongproblem solving and organizational skills, attention to detail,excellent communication skills, including proficiency in editing,spelling and grammar, the ability to exercise independent initiative asappropriate, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability tointeract effectively and meet deadlines in a team emphasizedenvironment. Experience in Blackbaud CRM , Qualtrics, and Power BI withexperience creating queries and working in robust database stronglypreferred. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Previous supervisorexperience helpful.
