FTE: 0.900000 Standard Hours: 36.00 Shift: Shift 4 Shift Details:Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is a practitionerwho is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluatingnursing care for an identified group of patients. This individualdemonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adultpopulation in the critical care setting. The Registered Nurse jobdescription has incorporated essential functions which are adapted fromthe ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 4th Edition (2021).The Registered Nurse will navigate within critical care units insidetheir assigned entity. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Clinical competence andexperience in the care and management of acute care patient populationis required. A minimum of 12 months of recent inpatient hospital nursingexperience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Professional knowledgeof nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired throughcompletion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order tobe eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Upon hireany non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurseexperience will be required to enroll in a BSN (or higher nursingdegree) program. Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 monthsof hire and the degree program must be completed within 5 years ofenrollment, or 6 years if program is MSN, DNP or PhD in Nursing.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or aMulti-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (NurseLicensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Supportfor the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent isrequired within 90 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 1 year for allnew graduates with less than a year of experience. RNs with at least 1year of experience is required to have their ACLS upon hire.
