As the Banquet Manager, you will be a keymember of the Food & Beverage leadership team, assisting the Director ofBanquets in overseeing daily banquet operations. This role isresponsible for training, supervising, and leading the banquet teamwhile ensuring flawless execution of events, guest satisfaction, andoperational efficiency. You will play an integral role in driving repeatbusiness, profitability, and service excellence. Built in 1893, ThePfister Hotel is a Milwaukee icon known for gracious service andimpeccable style. As a AAA Four Diamond hotel for more than fourdecades, The Pfister is recognized as one of the premier eventdestinations in the Midwest. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Assist theDirector of Banquets with the daily leadership and oversight of banquetoperations Lead, train, and supervise banquet associates to ensureconsistent service standards Ensure the highest quality of food,beverage, and service delivery for all banquet events Coordinatebanquet service needs with culinary and stewarding teams Maintaineffective communication between Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Events, andOperations Ensure events are executed according to BEOs, timelines,and guest expectations Support compliance with hotel policies,procedures, and applicable union contract guidelines Maintainaccurate banquet records, including banquet checks and eventdocumentation Ensure adequate inventory of banquet service equipmentand supplies Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitationstandards within banquet spaces Conduct departmental meetings andattend F&B, BEO, Safety, and Department Head meetings Assist withscheduling, payroll oversight, and labor management Address guestconcerns and service recovery situations professionally and promptly Represent The Pfister Hotel with professionalism and leadership presence Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned POSITIONREQUIREMENTS: Prior banquet or event management experience required High school diploma or GED required; four-year degree in Hospitalityor related field preferred Previous experience working in a unionenvironment preferred Strong leadership, coaching, andteam-development skills Excellent communication and organizationalskills Ability to manage multiple events and prioritiessimultaneously Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings,weekends, and holidays WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: Complimentary,well-balanced meal every shift Room discounts at Marcus Hotels &Resorts and...
