Job HighlightsJoin our dynamic manufacturing team as a scheduler, where youll play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and on-time delivery for our customers. In this position, youll develop and manage production plans, maintain accurate ERP data, and collaborate across departments to optimize resources and drive efficiency.Job Summary & RequirementsJob Summary:The scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure jobs are completed on time, efficiently, and according to customer requirements. Oversee all stages of production, monitor progress, and ensure material availability while adhering to company policies and safety standards.Duties/Responsibilities: Review daily customer orders and create manufacturing plans considering lead times, resource availability, and production capacity. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) in ERP system (QAD), ensuring ongoing accuracy and timely updates as required. Monitor production progress, address delays or issues, and communicate changes promptly to Customer Service, Production Manager, and General Manager. Monitor PFC on a daily basis through SharePoint and promptly address any discrepancies. Coordinate schedules with Production Manager and Shift Supervisors and maintain daily updates on plant status and order progress. Purchase raw materials and manage resource inventory based on production requirements when needed. Review raw material availability, inventory levels and tooling carefully prior to production scheduling to ensure accurate and efficient planning. Manage raw material requisitions and inventory levels in coordination with Purchasing and Warehouse teams. Identify risks that may affect production schedules and develop proactive solutions. Prepare and share regular reports and metrics on order status, delivery performance, and process improvements. Work closely with manufacturing and customer service departments to implement scheduling best practices, gang jobs and meet customer delivery expectations. Lead or participate in production meetings, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and coordination across departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (QAD preferred, SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards acceptable). Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, dashboards). Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and compliance requirements. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain, or related field experience At least three years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations.APICS CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) or CSCP certification a plus.Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position working on a computer.
