Summary This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until April 23, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applicants will be February 6, 2026, with subsequent cut-off dates every two weeks. Responsibilities Dedicated to Patient-Centered Care, the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) is a state of the art network of health care facilities throughout Southern Arizona comprised of the medical center in Tucson, Arizona and seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Casa Grande, Green Valley, Safford, Sierra Vista, Yuma, Northwest and Southeast Tucson. Through an environment of compassion, education, and research, SAVAHCS is a national model of clinical and organizational excellence. Geri PACT Physician provides comprehensive care to a panel of adult patients with Geriatric Syndrome. This position will work out of the Main Campus location in Tucson, AZ. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Works seamlessly with other health care team members to support VA quality and patient satisfaction initiatives. Provides direct patient care to optimize patient health including ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing medication, consulting with specialty services and utilizing computerized/electronic medical records. Provides patient care in accordance to professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence. Leads Geriatric interdisciplinary team meetings Precepts Geriatric fellow clinic, residents and medical students. Participates in program development to help identify patients with geriatric syndrome who would benefit from GeriPACT services. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
