Overview Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join the Portland, Oregon office Responsibilities + Expand our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team providing services in HVAC design. + Requires the ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients. + Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls + Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas + Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24 + Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability + Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities + Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team + Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects + Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance Qualifications + 10+ years of related experience + Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license + Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls + Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas + Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24 + Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects + Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance + Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus + Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability + Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team Why Kimley-Horn?
