This full-time role offers hands-on carpentry work,consistent weekday scheduling, strong benefits, and meaningful communityimpact all right here in Wichita.What Youll Do- Perform residential home repairs (siding, doors/windows, drywall, flooring, minor roofing, etc.).- Use carpentry and general construction skills to complete projects efficiently and safely.- Load, unload tools and materials throughout the day.- Use power tools hand tools and ladders safely and correctly.- Maintain clean, organized, and safe trailer and job site, tools, and equipment.- Work closely with our crew lead to complete jobs on schedule.- Occasionally lead or assist volunteers with basic tasks and tool use.- Treat homeowners, volunteers, and staff with respect and professionalism.Physical Demands- Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. (75 lbs. occasionally).- Perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and ladder climbing throughout the day.- Work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.What Were Looking For- Experience in residential home remodeling, construction or carpentry (Paid or significant unpaid).- Strong work ethic, safety mindset, and teamwork skills.- Comfort using power tools and working on active job sites.- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.- Reliable, on time, and able to follow instructions and safety procedures.- Team player who works well in a small crew and around volunteers.- Valid drivers license; able to drive a pickup and tow a small trailer (or willing to learn).Training and Safety- CPR/First Aid and safety certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)- Ability to pass background check and drug screenWork Environment- Work performed in homes, outdoors, on active job sites, and in a warehouse- Exposure to varying weather, noise, heights, and power toolsApplication Question(s):- Are you able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs (and occasionally up to 75 lbs), work on ladders, and perform physical tasks on active construction sites in varying weather conditions?- Are you willing and able to obtain and maintain required safety certifications (Competent Person, CPR, and First Aid) within 60 days of hire?- This position requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
