Assess students needs and abilities and develop individualized art programs based on findings. Implement an Art Curriculum that incorporates current theory, research, and practice and meets the needs and abilities of school age students with autism and other disabilities. Prepare daily lesson plans with activities that are aligned to NYS Common Core Standards, informed by authentic assessment data which advance academic goals and, as applicable, reflect the objectives on the IEP; and progress reports as needed. Incorporate goals and clinical recommendations into each students program. Work directly with students, engaging in and supervising all art activities and coordinate staffs interactions with students.
