Job Title: Electrical Assembly (2nd Shift) Job Description Join our team to assist in the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products. You will work with wiring schematics and diagrams for point-to-point wiring. Your expertise with crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies is essential. Responsibilities + Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, including panel wiring, while adhering to safety, quality, and customer specifications. + Assemble finished units per customer specifications, including pulling wire, crimping, installing, and testing wiring and wiring harnesses using voltmeters and ohmmeters. + Conduct part replacements on tools as needed and according to schedule. + Resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels. + Work under direct supervision with frequent output monitoring. + Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics. + Maintain a clean and organized work area per 5S standards. + Comply with all procedures within the company security policy. + Coordinate with teammates on tasks requiring multiple team members, working in smaller group teams. + Keep inventory personnel informed about spare parts inventory and locations to facilitate order fulfillments. + Perform real-time testing for point-to-point testing to ensure accurate wiring and no issues with wires or housing. Essential Skills + Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and diagrams. + Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Familiarity with electrical wiring and testing equipment such as multimeters. + Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ years of experience in electrical wiring and assembly. + Schooling experience in lieu of hands-on experience is acceptable (TCAT, Delta Tech, Moore Tech, Southwest). + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. + Proficiency in operating a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system and related software. + Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations. Work Environment This role involves working in a cell unit where you will be mostly stationary, wiring different sections of the unit per client specifications using point-to-point schematics. The environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, consisting of cell stations with large working areas. Teams of 5-7 technicians work together to assemble units per specification. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working on Saturdays. Training occurs on-site in a classroom setting, emphasizing safety, electrical wiring, and standard protocols. Tools and materials are provided, and no outside tools are needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.15 - $29.15/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
